Will Google's Bangalore center help Indian keyword advertisers?
As you might have read, Google has announced that it would be
setting up a direct presence in India in 2004.
Though Google, at this stage, has talked only about setting up an engineering R&D center (in Bangalore), the announcement augurs well for Indian users of its Adwords service. With a direct presence in India, Google might look at offering pricing in ruppees--which will lower the cost of clicks for local advertisers.
Logically, Google would also think of using India as a base for supporting Adwords advertisers worldwide.
Here's extending a very warm welcome to one of the greatest companies of our times.
